The meeting of group of ministers of the state government on jute remained inconclusive today as it decided to wait for a court directive.
"There could not be any decision as we decided to wait for a week for any court directive, if any. Then it will help us in taking any possible measure. IJMA has moved court against Jute Commissioner's control order," state Labour Minister Maloy Ghatak said.
He added that the problem is no agency is able to give a true picture of raw jute production.
"We are concerned with the low production order with the mills which is leading to job loss," Ghatak said.
Already, several mills are closed due to low production.
Meanwhile, a high-level meeting is likely to be held in the city with the Textile Minister along with the stakeholders to tide over the issue.
