The orbit raising operation was carried out by firing the onboard Liquid Apogee Motor for nearly 38 minutes, an Indian Space Research Organisation statement said here.

The final orbit-raising manoeuvre would be undertaken on October 3, followed by deployment of the two solar panels and the two dual gridded reflectors of the satellite, it said.

GSAT-10, meant to augment telecommunication, Direct-To-Home broadcasting and radio navigation services in the country by adding 30 more to the much-in-demand transponder capacity, was launched on September 29 on board Ariane-5 rocket from Kourou in French Guyana.
