Guargum futures fell by Rs 220 to Rs 13,320 per quintal today following trimming of positions by participants amidst subdued demand in spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guargum for delivery in April dipped by Rs 220, or 1.62 per cent, to Rs 13,320 per quintal, having an open interest of 18 lots.
On similar lines, guargum for delivery in January dropped by Rs 180, or 1.39 per cent, to Rs 12,760 per quintal, with an open interest of 11,449 lots.
Marketmen said apart from fall in domestic and export demand at spot markets, increased arrivals in mandies weighed on guargum prices at futures trade here.
