Haryana govt approves Rs 329 cr for construction of EWS houses

Haryana Government has approved Rs 329 crore for construction of 8,799 houses for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of the society at different locations in the state.
The state Housing Board has already called for registration of 10,215 eligible applicants as part of project for construction of 50,000 houses in urban areas, an official spokesman said today.
The Housing Board of Haryana intends to spend more than Rs 1,000 crore on the construction of these houses, he said.
50,000 houses will be constructed by the Housing Board Haryana, 50,000 houses by the Urban Local Bodies Department and 50,000 houses by the Town and Country Planning Department through private developers, the spokesman said.
