HC seeks UP's response on PIL seeking CBI probe against Yadav

Allahabad High Court today gave 25 days to the Uttar Pradesh government to respond on a PIL seeking CBI probe against suspended Engineer-in-Chief of Noida Authority Yadav Singh for his alleged wealth disproportionate to his known source of income.
A division bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Pankaj Mittal asked the government prosecutor to file response before next date of hearing on February 16 on the Public Interest Litigation filed by social activist Nutan Thakur.
The government counsel asked for some time during the hearing after which the court fixed next date of hearing, the petitioner said.
The petitioner also told that she had filed a supplementary affidavit before the court having facts, including details of various alleged false companies of Yadav Singh for "syphoning off illegal money".

"Account numbers of such companies have also been given, where money has gone directly from Noida authority," she alleged.
