The league's promoters Magpie Group had claimed that they had signed a three-year deal with ICC but the world cricket's global body has categorically rejected any such claims.
"Reports claiming that the ICL has signed a three-year deal with the ICC are baseless and factually inaccurate. The ICC has neither given permission to the ICL to stage the event in the UAE nor it has the authority to sanction such events," an ICC spokesman told PTI today.
