U S Awasthi today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and apprised him of prevailing issues in the fertliser sector.
In a tweet, Awasthi said he apprised the Prime Minister of excessive use of urea, which is affecting soil health and the need for Nutrient Based Subsidy (NBS) policy in urea.
Direct transfer of subsidy to farmers, JanDhan and Swachh Bharat were also discussed.
