SMEs that adopt Information Technology created more new jobs and drove more revenue growth over the past three years, compared to SMEs using little technology, a top official of Quadrasystems.Net India, a Microsoft Gold Competency partner, said here today.
Quoting a recent research report, S Prashant, Executive Director, Quadra, told reporters that the global interest in India's lower cost structure could propel manufacturing to become a USD 1 trillion sector by 2025 and create 90 million domestic jobs.
He said cloud computing enabled businesses acquire enterprise class technologies in an affordable, pay per use model that minimized capital expenditure.
In a country like India with a huge number of Small and Medium Business, cloud adoption enables SMEs to use and benefit from the latest tools that were previously only acccessible to large enterprises with huge IT budgets,he said.
"SMEs in India can now now communicate, collaborate and compete on an equal footing with businesses across the globe," he said, adding increasing cloud adoption among businesses has led to significant productivity gains and benefited customers and solution providers alike.
Quadra has registered 33 per cent Year on Year growth in its cloud business owing to rapid cloud adoption by customers with quick project turnaround times and quantifiable return of investment, he said.
Sudhir Nayar, Director, Microsoft India, said the company has started offering Azure via the open licensing model in India and Office-365 has already been available via open licensing.
An offer of this nature was of significant value to customers as they now have the flexibility to plan, purchase, deploy and manage their entire IT roadmap with the help of their trusted local partner, Nayar said.
