Nashik guardian minister Girish Mahajan here launched an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system that will enable officials and advocates to get status of revenue related cases on phone.
The system has been developed by two city-based electronic engineers Shirkant Nimbalkar and Kedar Nimbalkar.
The system was launched yesterday and has been initially started in five districts under Nashik revenue division -- Nashik, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar, Nandurbar and Dhule.
Briefing on the working of the system, Shirkant said officials, advocates, clients can get information, status of their revenue, land cases on phone by dialling on mobile no. 8149796591.
By calling on the number, the caller will have to then type or insert four-digit case number and four-digit year of the case. The caller will then get voice-recorded details of the case like hearing date, present status of the case, he said.
This will enable officials to save their travel time and can get important information on phone. The service has been made available 24X7.
The system also has a facility where the user can store data (related to case) in the system (web cloud hosting, web cloud back up), Shirkant said.
The duo said the administration extended their full cooperation in developing the system.
