J-K govt asked to decide forest clearance cases in 2 months

The direction was passed by Lone while intervening during discussion on a question of NC legislator Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan in the Legislative Assembly during Question Hour.

Ramzan raised the issue of slow pace of work on various irrigation schemes, approved by the government, in his Handwara constituency.

The Speaker said the Committee constituted for the purpose needs to be further activated to remove bottlenecks, if any, in the way of forest clearance cases.
