"Having tasted the good governance during our tenure, the people had hope that the present regime headed by National Conference would also follow the path of its predecessor but this regime has failed to provide even basic amenities to the common masses," said PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
The former chief minister was addressing a function here to welcome large number of people from Ramgarh and Vijaypur areas of Jammu, who had joined PDP under the leadership of local leader Yashpal Sharma.
He regretted that the process of equitable development, which was started during PDP-Congress regime was derailed after formation of the present regime.
More than 70,000 youth were appointed as teachers under Rebar-e-Talim (ReT) scheme and more than 30,000 Anganwari workers were also appointed during my tenure, Mufti claimed.
"Not a single case of favouritism or nepotism was reported during our tenure because appointments were made with complete transparency and accountability to ensure that only deserving people would get jobs," he said.
