Jiwanjot, Siddana star in Punjab's 6-wkt win over Tamil Nadu

Opener Jiwanjot Singh struck 85 while Mayank Siddana hit a run-a-ball 67 in Punjab's comfortable six-wicket win against Tamil Nadu in a group A league game of the Vijay Hazare Trophy game, here today.
Tamil Nadu were all out for 226 in 45.3 overs with Dinesh Karthik top-scoring with 69 off 93 balls on a slowish track at the Gymkhana ground.
Pacer Siddharth Kaul was again the best bowler on view with 4/17 in 8 overs while Brainder Sran took 3/37. Skipper Harbhajan Singh got the important wicket of Murali Vijay (35).
In reply, Jiwanjot hit 85 off 101 with 10 fours as he added 92 runs with Gurkeerat Singh Mann (41) and 86 runs with Siddana as Punjab cruised to victory in 44.5 overs.

Jiwanjot was stumped by Karthik off Ravi Ashwin (1/34)'s bowling. Siddana, who hit 10 boundaries in his unbeaten innings.
