Liquor, cash seized in Chandigarh

Poll officials today seized 54 boxes of liquor and Rs 2.10 lakh cash here in two separate cases.
The liquor was recovered from a four-wheeler during checking at the Sector 31/47 turn, police said.
The man carrying the liquor was identified as Pankaj, a resident of Chandigarh.
In a separate case, police recovered Rs 2.10 lakh cash from a car driven by a resident of Chandigarh, identified as Dinesh Jain, police said.
In the wake of the Lok Sabha elections, three flying squad teams and three static surveillance teams have been set up in Chandigarh.
