Jena Pang, of Southend, Essex, is selling 32 Steiff teddies at an auction. He has an enormous collection of more than 500 bears but is selling the most valuable as he is moving to Hong Kong and fears they will be damaged by humidity.
The 36-year-old former solicitor has spent the last 12 years collecting rare toy bears dating back to the early 1900s worth hundreds of thousands of pounds each.
The oldest bear in the collection is a 'rod' bear from 1904, the world's first teddy bears, but the most valuable is a 28-inch tall bear from 1905 worth 15,000 pounds on its own.
The auction will take place at Special Auction Services in Newbury, Berks, on December 4.
"This collection is simply the finest single-owner collection of vintage bears to come up for sale in many years," said auctioneer Daniel Agnew.
