Man trampled to death by elephant

The elephant also attacked and injured two others, including a woman, who were admitted at MKCG Medical College and Hospital here, forest officials said.

The deceased was identified as Narayan Sahu (50), a daily wager and watchman of the university.

Berhampur Divisional Forest Officer S S Mishra said the elephant, sighted near Chhatrapur yesterday, had moved later towards Rangeilunda and University area where it attacked three persons.

Mishra who was in the field to track the movement of the elephant said forest officials were deployed to watch the movement of the animal.
