Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi today extended her greetings on the eve of Mother's Day, and said a mother was the biggest blessing every child gets.
In her message, she said, "Maatha, Pitha, Guru and then God" the famous quote places Mother above all.
"Mother's Day is a celebration of bond of love and affection and highlights the spirit of motherhood, the care, compassion, empathy and humanness," she said.
The former IPS officer also said, "celebration of Mother's Day is very essential for the progress and preservation of human society."
