A BA degree in road transportation for taxi, truck and other drivers who are class XII pass would brush up their knowledge on topics like transport rules, growing road accidents, how to save fuel, being good tourist guides, health care and culture, a university release said here today.
The varsity has kept a nominal fee of Rs 400 for the correspondence course, to provide study material to the drivers, the release said.
CDs, DVDs and community radio programmes like 'Chalti ka naam gaadi' have also been formed which would provide content in easy form for the drivers to learn quickly.
The university has roped in noted Bollywood actor Kadar Khan for promoting the new course, the release added.
