"The Chief Minister is in constant touch with the district authorities and issued direction to provide all possible help to the affected people," said an official in Chief Minister's office.
He said Dikshit has asked the Deputy Commissioner, Sub Divisional Magistrates and other senior officials to personally go to the spot and help the affected people.
"The Chief Minister has asked the officials to ensure proper care of the victims. Tents are being put up for providing accommodation to the affected people," the official said.
About 20 fire tenders were rushed to the area to douse the flames where the residents attacked the fire brigade personnel accusing them of reaching the spot late.
The angry residents armed with stones and sticks attacked the fire personnel and also damaged some fire tenders, injuring four rescue workers.
