Police said that the victim of the Sagarpur daughter-in- law burning case, succumbed to burn-related injuries here on July 2.
The deceased has left behind two children -- a 10-year-old son and a six-year-old daughter. She had been in and out of Safdarjung Hospital for the last couple of months.
Doctors said some of her internal organs were damaged when she was set on fire, allegedly by her in-laws on January 13.
Former Delhi Minister in the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) dispensation, Rakhi Birla, had taken up the matter and, to show solidarity with the victim, had also visited her house.
"Police had promised a fair and speedy investigation; but more than six months have passed (since the incident) and they are yet to complete their investigation and file a charge sheet.
"AAP demands action against the negligent police officials investigating the case and a speedy completion of the probe," AAP said in a statement here.
