Actress Scarlett Johansson is set to make her directorial debut with the film adaptation of Truman Capote's unpublished novel 'Summer Crossing'.
The film is based on the life of a 17-year-old who decides
to pursue romance with a Jewish valet parking attendant instead of travelling through Paris during a 1945 summer heat wave in New York, reported Variety.
The author of the book had trashed the manuscript. It was salvaged after a janitor in his building discovered it. The pages resurfaced in a 2004 auction and was later published.
"Sin City 2" producer Oleg Boyko will finance along with Aldamisa.
Peter D Graves will be the executive producer. The production of the film is scheduled to start in the first half of 2013.
