The 43-year-old singer took to Twitter, just a few hours after Costolo's announcement, and said he was ready for the post, reported Huffington Post.
"I am ready to lead @twitter! #SnoopforCEO," Snoop Dogg tweeted.
The rapper started his own #SnoopforCEO campaign and said, "First order of Business! Get that Moolah!"
The tweet garnered interesting responses, with people offering up support and plenty of jokes.
"Please increase the character limit from 140 to 420, @SnoopDogg. #snoopforCEO," Eric Scott Johnson tweeted.
