Soybean futures up by Rs 31 per quintal

Soybean prices today improved by Rs 31 to Rs 3,906 per quintal in futures trading as participants widened their position at the existing level.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for delivery in July month contracts was trading higher by Rs 31, or 0.80 per cent, to Rs 3,906 per quintal, with an open interest of 57,580 lots.
Also, the current month delivery gained Rs 25, or 0.65 per cent, to Rs 3,858 per quintal in an open interest of 58,150 lots.
Marketmen said the rise in soybean futures was mostly attributed to building up of position by participants at the current level.
