The Manager of HDFC Bank's Pulinchuvadu Branch here was produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court which released him on bail, police said.
The student ended her life on April 30 after she came to know that her application for education loan was rejected by the bank citing various reasons, including default of repayment of another loan by her mother, police said.
Police had earlier arrested another official of the bank in connection with the case. He was subsequently released on bail. The manager, wanted in the case, was absconding and surrendered before police today.
Both the bank officials have been charged under IPC Section 306 (abetment of suicide), police said.
