Swine flu claims a life in Indore, raising death toll to nine

Pawan Patel (32), died last night at Bombay Hospital here, a medical and health department official said.

Patel, who hailed from Ashok Garden in Bhopal, was admitted to the hospital on September 21, where he was confirmed H1N1 positive on October 4, the official told PTI.

Four other serious swine flu patients are still being treated at private hospitals here, he said.

Out of 133 swab samples tested for swine flu, 37 were found positive, and 96 negative, in the current spell of the viral disease in Indore division since May this year.
