Tin spurts on sustained demand

Nickel, copper, select brass and aluminium also moved up owing to good offtake from industrial users.

Meanwhile, the industrial metals eased at the LME on subdued investor sentiment following dull demand from China.

Tin jumped by Rs 25 per kg to Rs 1,320 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,295 and nickel firmed up by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,065 from Rs 1,060.

Copper sheet cutting rose by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 466 from Rs 463 previously.

Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap and aluminium utensils scrap all inched up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 489, Rs 470, Rs 445, Rs 517, Rs 325 and Rs 114, respectively.

However, aluminium ingots softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 140.
