Chief Minister K Palaniswami formally launched the portal "www.easybusiness.tn.gov.in" at the secretariat, that would enable investors get 37 government services without human interface, an official release said.
The portal would serve as a single point for accepting and electronically distributing applications to the respective competent authorities, receiving electronic payment of fees from enterprises,ensuring submission of supporting documents.
It would also address the queries raised by the investors and also monitor the status of the applications.
The website gives access to portals of other government agencies -- Director of Town and Country Planning, Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT), Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Service, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation.
"Since inception in 1992, the Bureau has successfully attracted more than 300 major investment proposals with an aggregate investment exceeding Rs three lakh crore", the online portal said.
Investors through the portal would be able to file applications, pay the necessary fees and can also download the final approval of the project from the portal.
"Through this facility, the industrial growth in the state would further strengthen", the release said.
The portal, besides giving details to prospective investors,shares pictures of late AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa speaking at the maiden Global Investors Meet held in 2015.
It also carries the slogan "Tamil Nadu, The Investors Paradise" and also has pictures of top officials from various companies interacting with Chief Minister K Palaniswami.
Industries Minister M C Sampath,Rural Industries Minister P Benjamin, Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan, Industries department Principal Secretary, Atulya Mishra and senior government officials participated in the launch of the online portal, the release added.
