"Both the patients Zahid Ahmed (19) and Showkat Ahmed (35), who had received severe burn injuries, were shifted to AIIMS from here last evening," Medical Superintendent of GMC hospital, Dr R Rattan Paul said.
According to the divisional commissioner, Pawan Kotwal, the administration would be in touch with the doctors at GMC and action would be taken on the recommendation of the doctors treating these patients.
"While the condition of the patient who had received 40 per cent burn injuries was stable, we did not want to take risk with the other one who had received 70 per cent burn injuries so we decided to shift them to AIIMS, New Delhi," Kotwal said.
Three persons, including a policeman, had received burn injuries when a Kashmir-bound truck was attacked with a petrol bomb in Udhampur district Friday night following which six persons were arrested.
