Mumbai, who were bundled out for 230 in their first innings, thus have an overall lead of 75 runs with six wickets remaining in the second innings when the play resumes tomorrow at the Mumbai Cricket Association's Bandra Kurla Complex ground.
On the opening day, Delhi pacer Simarjeet Singh had picked a six-wicket haul to skittle out Mumbai for a paltry 230 in their first innings.
Delhi, who resumed their first innings at 140/1, had a middle order collapse and could manage only 260/9 declared on the board.
Shivank Vashisth (44 not out) frustrated the Mumbai bowlers to take his side post the 250-run-mark.
But all other batsmen, one-down Yash Sehrawat (16), Jonty Sidhu (13), Rajesh Sharma (0), Lalit Yadav (7), Dinesh Mor (0) went cheaply as Delhi failed to capitalise on the promising start given by their openers.
For Mumbai, pacer Sairaj Patil was the pick of the bowlers who returned with figures of 4-25.
In their second innings, Mumbai were teetering at 105/4, with A A Sardesai (37) and S Mulani (9) at the crease.
