"A few student leaders, whose only purpose is to create mischief and disturb the academic atmosphere during the entire session, neither study themselves nor let others study and the time has come to expel such elements from the university," Singh said addressing the 47th Foundation Day function of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU)
Directing the university authorities to take strict action against such "anti-social" elements as per law, the Chief Minister said, "Leaders of these students' outfits have become professional agitators. They take admission only to create trouble in the university and use the platform as a gateway to politics."
Singh said HPU was the first university in the country to start Rashtriya Uchhatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) and declare results on time.
