Bollwyood actress Sonakshi Sinha had walked out of the sets of the film 'Lootera' when her co-actor Ranveer Singh accidentally spat on her face while delivering a dialogue.
"She got so angry with me that she stormed out of the sets of the film. It has never happened to me before," Ranveer said.
Recalling the incident while shooting the film, he said, "There is a scene where I hold Sonakshi tightly and yell 'You called the police?' I was in the skin of the character at that time and so the intensity was such that spit came out each time I said the dialogue".
When the incident happened even after warnings during rehearsals, the 'Dabangg' actress walked out of the sets in a fit of rage.
The 27-year-old Ranveer admitted he had a tough time afterwards in pacifying his co-actress so that the shooting could resume.
Releasing June 5, 'Lootera' is the story of a conman played by Ranveer. Set in the 1950s in rural Bengal, the romantic drama directed by Vikramaditya Motwane is loosely based on O' Henry's short story 'The Last Leaf'.
Ranveer, who had debuted in 2010 essaying a street-smart and fun-loving character in the hit film 'Band Baaja Baaraat', said in 'Lootera' he is playing an introvert who hardly speaks.
"He (the character) is not flamboyant at all which is why I selected this character as I didn't want to get restricted to acting roles that were loud. I didn't want to get slotted. I wanted to show my versatility and vary my repertoire as a performer," he said.
