Woman burnt to death after house set on fire by neighbour

In a vengeful act, one Udaymal Pal set on fire his neighbour Gorakh Yadav's house last last night following a land dispute between them, the sources said.

Yadav's newly-wed daughter Vasumati Devi sustained severe burn injuries in the fire and succumbed to injuries in the Sadar hospital, they said.

Yadav has lodged a named FIR against Pal charging him with arson at this house, the sources said, adding that the accused person was absconding.
