Airbus Industrie Plans Super-Stretch Versions Of A-340 Aircraft

Airbus Industrie managing director Jean Pierson yesterday announced at the Paris air show here yesterday that the European aircraft consortium aims to launch Super Stretch versions of the A-340, its four-engine wide-body airliner, to be called the A 340-600 and the A 340-500 by the year 2001.
