The 2017 festive season has seen some interesting television and digital films being released by brands. Below are some of the best, launched over the course of the week, that had viewers asking for more.

1) A Day in the Life of a Royal Indian Guard: Food major Britannia wanted to communicate the importance of a smile, which is also the brand identity of its Good Day cookie. The digital ad, released last week, dwells on the life of a guard on duty at India Gate in New Delhi. Owing to his job, he is unable to smile at anybody. He makes up for it by smiling all day at home.

2 )Reconnect with Good: Brand Skoda wanted to demonstrate the power of its new sports utility vehicle Kodiaq in a unique way. Rather than focusing on product attributes such as performance, common with auto ads, Skoda chose to communicate the message of using power for doing good.

3) Is Diwali Saare Mael Dho Daalo: Ghadi detergent has been speaking of the need to purge one soul's of impurities for a while now. The latest in this series is its Diwali commercial, an endearing one on the need to be free of prejudices, in this case of policemen.

4) Beautiful Change: Part of a digital campaign by cosmetic major Oriflame, the ad, seven-minute-long, featuring actress Kalki Koechlin, dwells on the need to be compassionate.

5) Being Together: PC Jeweller unveiled its first national advertising campaign last week featuring real-life couple Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. The commercial shows Kumar reminding Khanna of their marriage date by gifting her jewellery. The commercial stands out for the chemistry between the two stars, enhanced by their years together.
