Thomson-Csfbids

French electronic engineering group Alcatel Alsthom and missiles-to-publishing conglomerate Lagardere said on Wednesday they had submitted firm and final offers for Thomson-CSF. Alcatel made a joint bid with Dassault Industries and hoped that Aerospatiale would join if it was the winner. Lagardere would issue a special FFr5 billion bond convertible into Thomson-CSF shares to help fund the deal, along with its own cash and credit lines. Reuter
