Striking traders have extended their 72-hour bandh call by another two days, in protest against the anticipated notification of the Rent Control Act. Criticising the Centres lethargic attitude towards the agitation, Forum of Delhi Trade Associations (FDTA) president Praveen Khandelwal called for the immediate intervention of Prime Minister I K Gujral and said the traders will sit on a relay hunger strike at north Delhis Chandni Chowk area in support of their demands. Traders staged rallies in several parts of the capital yesterday.
