The chase didn't really start well for the red and gold brigade as they lost their top three in Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Anuj Rawat in the first three overs itself at a score of 17. But then David Willey and Sherfane Rutherford added 45 for the fourth wicket. After Willey's departure, Shahbaz Ahmed played a great knock (27 off 20 balls) and added 39 with Rutherford to take the game close before KKr lost three quick wickets in a space of seven balls one of which came through a sensational catch from Sheldon Jackson. 

 

However, with 17 required off the last 12 balls, Dinesh Karthik and Harshal Ptle saw the game through and won it with four balls to spare and three wickets in hand. 

 

Earlier in the evening, KKR could get up to only 128 runs thanks t0 some let hitting by Russell (25) and Umesh Yadav (18 off 12 balls) because had those runs not been added, getting to even 100 would have been difficult as half the team was blown in in Wanindu Hasaranga storm.

With 17 needed off the last two overs, Venkatesh Iyer has been asked to bowl the 19th over which means that Andre Russell will bowl the 20th if the match goes to the 20th 

 

1 taken off the first ball and DK is on strike now and he survives a great run pout opportunity here. Umesh Yadav Should have thrown at the non-striker's end but he threw at the striker's end and as both Harshal and Karthik were at the striker's end and Karthik made it easily to the other end

 

Four!! Poor from Venky here as he bowl it short and at his pace short could be played anywhere and Harshal played it over the fine leg for four 

 

Dot now and he should keep bowling full and wide I don't know why did he bowl short and on the wickets on the last ball 

 

And yet another dot ball now and now it is 11 needed off 7 balls as two slower balls have been missed by the maestro of slower balls

Sheldon Jackson can take the hat he is wearing and take a bow with it throughout the ground for the catch that he has pulled off here, this is just unbelievable as it was the wicket of settled Sherfane Rutherford

Tim Southee has been brought back into the attack and thiis more about face-saving rather than bold captaincy. All these moves of bringing in Southee and Yadava should have been done earlier by Shreyas. At least he should have bowled his spinners out for god's sake, But what he is doing is only he can tell

 

But just as I say, Southee is giving more weightage to my words as he has asked for a review on caught behind, but the review says not out even as the wicket-keeper and bowler looked so confident about this. But nevertheless, it is just four runs from the over and in the last five, RCB need 36 off it with six wickets in hand.

Russell throughout the game has been very poor as while batting instead of rotating the strike when he was in good form, he went for heavy-hitting and lost the wicket, and here too, he has so far conceded 14 in just 8 balls. 

 

Six!! Add some more to it now as he has been hammered for a six here by Shahbaz Ahmed over the mid-wicket boundary. Oh, what a mess this Russ4ell has been in this match so far.

Four!! While on one hand, Narine has been keeping it tight and making it a match for the KKR, Varun Chakravarthy has been really wayward as he bowls short and gives room for Rutherford to cut for four here 

 

In a game where the team is defending 128, Chakravarthy in his three overs has given away 25 runs without taking a wicket, which is really pathetic when the team is counting on you to bowl cheaply and take wickets

Brilliant throw here from Nitish Rana and equally brilliant work by Jackson to remove the bails quickly and even brilliant work from Willey to dive so fast and be saved by just two frames. All around its brilliant cricket 

 

This has been a fine fine partnership from Willey and Rutherford as they have now added 45 off just 54 balls, in an exact manner as was required, and are now easily marching towards the target of 129 

 

Wicket!! And just as I was saying that they are marching easily, Narine says, "Wait a second, let me get a wicket here" as he forcesWilley to play it in the air and Nitish Rana at short midwicket grabs it and sends Willey packing for 18. RCB now 62/4

However, the ball neither nicked the bat nor the wicket, and Willey was in his crease only at the time of removal of bails so the batter is safe
