Targets non-English speaking parts across the globe
With US and European markets facing major slowdown, Ahmedabad-based global sourcing and IT service provider, Gateway TechnoLabs is looking to tap the non-English speaking regions worldwide.
The company is expecting much of its 55 per cent growth in the current fiscal to come from regions like Nordic countries, Japan and Canada.
"The non-English speaking part of the world is where we see much of our growth coming from. We are expecting to grow by 55-60 per cent in current fiscal of 2012-13," said Niraj Gemawat, chairman and managing director of Gateway TechnoLabs. In the previous fiscal year 2011-12, Gateway TechnoLabs pegged a turnover of Rs 132 crore at 32 per cent annual growth. Talking further about the business growth for the company, Gemawat said that about 85 per cent of the growth will come from its existing customers globally.
On the back of the bullish growth expected, the company, that is into mission critical applications, is adding another 600 employees to its current strength of 1,400 globally.
Recently, the company also secured 29th position in the list of Microsoft's 50 'Most Competent' Partners.
While only two other Indian firms have got such privilege, the privately-held company from Ahmedabad, is the only player from Gujarat to get included in the list.
"With our inclusion in the list of Microsoft's 50 most competent partners, we have moved one step closer to our goal of emerging as one of the most valued and respected global mid-sized technology company by 2015. We have built a philosophy of growth around key drivers of client intimacy, sustainable relationship which delivers highest value, operational excellence and delivery of end to end IT & business services for our customers," Gemawat added.
In terms of verticals, Gemawat said, the company is witnessing a major growth in business from auto, media and publishing industries.
