Hutch launches mobile shop in Kochi

| Announcing the launch of the new service, Samuel Selvakumar, director (operations) said that the mobile shop would provide all the services of a regular Hutch shop, like activation of pre-paid and post-paid connections, sale of prepaid SIM cards and re-charge coupons, bill payment and change of tariff plan. |
| Hutch will introduce a similar service in Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram soon. The mobile shop that works on a GPRS-enabled technology will have three service desks and an 'experience zone' to cater to various needs of the customers. |
| It is for the first time in Kerala that a telecom service provider has introduced a mobile service facility on wheels. |
| Selvakumar said that the van would travel through a pre-set route, which would be informed to the customers through SMS and separate notices. |
| Hutch also plans to open more regular Hutch shops in Kerala as the network of the company covers 550 towns in the state. |
