Kesari 2: About the film

The book "The Case That Shook The Empire" by Raghu and Pushpa Palat served as the inspiration for the 2-hours and 14-minutes movie. Kesari 2, which is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape Of Good Films, also stars R. Madhavan as Adv. Neville McKinley, the British Empire's lawyer who treats C Sankaran Nair badly.

In light of the horrific Jallianwala Bagh massacre that occurred in 1919, the historical courtroom drama explores the life of renowned counsel C Sankaran Nair, who is represented by star actor Akshay Kumar.

Ananya Panday, on the other hand, is comparable to Dilreet Gill, India's first female lawyer. Compared to her earlier on-screen performances, this will prove to the actress's range as an actor. The movie was released in theatres on April 18, 2025.
