New Delhi, Jan 02 (ANI): Speaking on the controversy over poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz's 'Hum Dekhenge' poem, which was recently recited by IIT students, after which panel was set up to find out if it is 'anti-Hindu' or not, lyricist Javed Akhtar said that "it's both funny and absurd". He said, "Calling Faiz Ahmed Faiz 'anti-Hindu' is so absurd and funny that it's difficult to seriously talk about it. He lived half his life outside Pakistan, he was called anti-Pakistan there. 'Hum Dekhenge' he wrote against Zia ul Haq's communal, regressive and fundamentalist government." Faiz Ahmed Faiz was a celebrated Urdu poet of Pakistan.
