State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd has sold 609 housing units in Greater Noida (West) for Rs 1,070 crore through an e-auction. In a regulatory filing on Wednesday, the company informed that it has sold 609 residential units in two projects 'Aspire leisure valley' and Aspire Centurian Park through an e-auction at total sale value of Rs 1,069.43 crore. NBCC will get marketing fee at 1 per cent of sale value. NBCC did not mention the name of the buyer. As per the direction of the Supreme Court, Amrapali Stalled Projects Investments Reconstruction Establishment (ASPIRE) was formed to complete the stuck projects of Amrapali through the NBCC. The state-owned firm was asked to complete 38,000 flats and hand them over to homebuyers. The investment to complete these flats was projected at around Rs 8,300 crore. The company's first project will be developed on a fully paid-up 5.6-acre plot, which it acquired from the authority for around Rs 300 crore, Ashtech said in a statement on Thursday. The father-in-law and brother-in-law of Nikki Bhati, the 26-year-old woman who was allegedly burnt alive over dowry demands in Greater Noida, have been arrested, police said on Monday. The accused, identified as Satveer Bhati (55) and Rohit Bhati (28), were arrested by Kasna Police near Sirsa Toll Chauraha following a tip-off and manual intelligence inputs, the police said in a statement. An official told PTI that both the arrests were made separately with some time difference between the two. Nikki's husband Vipin Bhati, brother Rohit, mother and father are among those mentioned as accused in the FIR. All four have been arrested. The man accused of setting his wife on fire over dowry was shot in leg on Sunday while escaping custody, police said. Vipin Bhati was arrested Saturday after he was caught on video allegedly assaulting and dragging by her hair his wife, Nikki, in a Greater Noida house. Nikki was allegedly set on fire by Bhati. She died on the way to a hospital. Two videos of the horrifying incident made rounds on the internet. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has released more than Rs 238 crore to nine urban local bodies (ULBs) in the NCR as part of its efforts to support city-level air pollution control under the Environment Protection Charge (EPC) funds, an RTI reply has revealed. The funds were disbursed to ULBs in Gurugram, Jind, Narnaul, Nuh, Palwal, Greater Noida, Hapur, Bharatpur and Bhiwadi through the respective state pollution control boards (SPCBs), according to the reply provided by the CPCB's air quality management division to an application filed under the Right to Information (RTI) Act on June 17. Additionally, the release of Rs 18.56 crore for seven other cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) -- Bahadurgarh, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Daruhera, Karnal, Panipat and Sonipat -- is currently under process through the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), the reply said. Real estate company Sobha Ltd will invest around Rs 800 crore to develop a luxury housing project in Greater Noida as part of its plan to expand business in the Delhi-NCR property market. The Bengaluru-based company has got all regulatory approvals to launch its project 'SOBHA Aurum' in Greater Noida, comprising 420 apartments. The project is spread across 3.46 acres with development potential of 9.3 lakh square feet, the company said in a statement on Thursday. Sobha Ltd did not mention the project cost. However, sources said the total investment will be around Rs 800 crore. The realty company has launched this project at around Rs 14,000 per square feet. The company has launched new project 'Jade County', which is spread over 13.33 acres, comprising around 1,000 units. In a statement on Wednesday, County Group said that it has bought this land parcel in Wave Group's large township 'Wave City' for Rs 400 crore. Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund (MF) on Thursday acquired additional shares of IT firm Coforge worth Rs 231 crore through an open market transaction. According to the bulk deal data available on the NSE, Motilal Oswal MF purchased 3.5 lakh shares or 0.52 per cent stake in Greater Noida-based Coforge. The shares were acquired at an average price of Rs 6,605.13 apiece, taking the transaction value to Rs 231.18 crore. After the latest transaction, Motilal Oswal MF's equity stake in Coforge rose to 8.58 per cent from 8.06 per cent. Details of the seller(s) of Coforge's shares could not be ascertained on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The scrip of Coforge on Thursday climbed 3.78 per cent to close at Rs 6,650 per piece on the NSE.
