Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday said that its heavy engineering arm has dispatched another steam generator to the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) in an effort to fast-track the country's energy security goal. The steam generators are used in pressurised heavy water reactors to convert water into steam, driving turbines for electricity generation. These generators are fabricated at L&T's facilities at the AM Naik Heavy Engineering Complex at Hazira and Vadodara in Gujarat. "The heavy engineering arm of L&T has dispatched the seventh 700 MWe steam generator for the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL)," L&T said in a statement. The company said that the "before-time dispatch reinforces the company's commitment to supporting India's energy goals and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat". Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said it has bagged a "significant" order for the Hyderabad Greenfield Radial Road project. The contract, awarded to L&T's transportation infrastructure business vertical, covers the second phase of the project in Ranga Reddy district. L&T classifies an order amount ranging between Rs 1,000 cr to Rs 2,500 cr as 'significant'. It involves the construction of a "22.3 km 3+3 lane access-controlled radial road" to boost connectivity in the region, L&T said in a filing to BSE. The Hyderabad Greenfield Radial Road phase-2 holds strategic importance as the first radial connector linking Hyderabad's outer ring road to the proposed 340-km regional ring road , enhancing regional connectivity. It will improve access to key growth hubs like IT corridors and electronic city, driving economic development in Telangana's Ranga Reddy district. Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Friday said that it has entered into a strategic pact with US-based Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) for manufacturing unmanned aircraft systems for the Indian Army. Under the partnership, both the firms will together manufacture Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) in India. L&T's engineering, precision manufacturing and system integration capabilities in defence and aerospace and GA-ASI operational expertise will be utilised in this strategic pact. "Under this partnership, L&T will participate in the upcoming 87 MALE RPAS programme of the Ministry of Defence, where L&T will be the prime bidder and GA-ASI the technology partner," the infrastructure major said in a filing to the BSE. Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said its power transmission and distribution vertical has bagged 'large' grid infrastructure orders in the Middle East. According to the company's project classification, a 'large' order is worth Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore. The 400kV super grid interconnection linking the electricity networks of GCC member states has helped in efficient utilization of generation capacity and has improved the overall grid resilience, the company said in a regulatory filing. Currently, the network of the Sultanate of Oman is connected to this interconnection through UAE's grid at 220kV. Now a direct interconnection is being established at 400 kV level for which a 400 kV substation in UAE is crucial, the company added. L&T PT&D has won an order to engineer, procure and construct this 400 kV Substation, the filing said. According to the filing, the company has bagged another order for building a set of new 132kV substations in the .
