Mahindra and Manulife insurance joint venture (JV) has got a certificate of incorporation from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Following the approval, Mahindra Manulife Insurance Ltd (MMIL) has come into existence, a joint statement said on Monday. The venture brings together Mahindra's strong presence in India with Manulife's global expertise to build a simple, customer-first, AI-native and digitally led life insurer, it said. By combining the extensive distribution reach of Mahindra with Manulife's strengths in product innovation, underwriting, and agency-led distribution, MMIL will focus on policyholder protection and offer holistic, need-based financial solutions, it said. MMIL aims to address India's large protection gap through a range of long-term savings and protection products, with a strong focus on rural and semi-urban markets while building leadership in protection solutions for urban customers, it said. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd on Monday reported a 20 per cent year-on-year growth in total vehicle sales to 99,636 units in May, including exports. In the utility vehicle segment, the company sold 58,021 units in the domestic market, up 11 per cent from the year-ago period. Total UV sales, including exports, stood at 59,573 units. Domestic sales of commercial vehicles rose 19 per cent to 24,079 units, the company said in a regulatory filing. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd, said, "In May, we achieved SUV sales of 58,021 units, a growth of 11 per cent and total vehicle sales stood at 99,636, a 20 per cent YoY growth. The sustained demand across our portfolio continues, constrained by supply chain challenges due to manpower shortages at select suppliers.
Realty firm Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd's sales bookings rose 21 per cent to Rs 3,405 crore last fiscal on better demand for its residential properties. Its sales bookings or pre-sales stood at Rs 2,804 crore in the 2024-25 fiscal. In its housing business, the fund collection from customers increased to Rs 2,107 crore last fiscal from Rs 1,831 crore in 2024-25. Most of the listed real estate developers performed well during the last fiscal in terms of sales bookings, even though there has been a slowdown in the pre-sales of the overall market because of a sharp rise in the price post COVID pandemic. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd on Wednesday reported a 29 per cent year-on-year growth in total tractor sales, including exports, at 45,035 units in March. The company had sold 34,934 tractors in March, 2025, M&M Ltd said in a statement. Domestic sales in March 2026 stood at 43,403 units, up 33 per cent year-on-year from 32,582 units in March 2025. However, exports declined 31 per cent to 1,632 units during the month, compared with 2,352 tractors sold in March 2025, it said. A significant part of this high growth was driven by the full Navratri season falling entirely in March, unlike last year when it was split between March and April, said Veejay Nakra, President, Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. On a full financial year basis, the company said, the total tractor sales spiked 24 per cent at 5,26,403 units in FY26 against 4,24,641 tractors.
Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd on Friday announced addition of 159 rooms to its portfolio through the launch of two new resorts in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The launches of Club Mahindra Amba Ghat (Maharashtra) and Club Mahindra Bandhavgarh (Madhya Pradesh) supports FY26's goal of 1,000 new rooms and 12,000 keys by FY30, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd (MHRIL) said in a statement. The two new properties strengthen the company's presence across Western and Central India, it added. "Destinations such as Amba Ghat and Bandhavgarh reflect the growing preference for immersive, nature-led experiences among today's travellers. At Club Mahindra, we have always believed in identifying and thoughtfully developing emerging leisure destinations for India's evolving base of holidaying families," MHRIL Managing Director & CEO Manoj Bhat said. Realty firm Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd is expecting a revenue of around Rs 3,000 crore from its new housing project in Mumbai. In a regulatory filing on Thursday, the company said it has launched first two phases of a mixed-use project 'Mahindra Rainforest' on LBS Marg, Kanjur, Mumbai. "Spanning 25.47 acres, the project is among the largest developments in Mumbai's central suburbs and is envisioned as an integrated lifestyle destination. The residential launch phases have an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of approximately Rs 3,000 crore," it added. The GDV means the total sales value of units launched in this project. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd on Sunday reported an 18 per cent year-on-year growth in overall automobile sales to 97,177 units in February 2026. Utility vehicle sales in the domestic market last month increased 19 per cent to 60,018 units compared to 50,420 units in the year-ago period, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) said in a statement. Domestic sales for commercial vehicles stood at 24,585 units last month, a growth of 10 per cent, it added. M&M CEO, Automotive Division, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, said the February performance reflected "robust customer demand across the portfolio". Mahindra Group on Friday said it will invest Rs 15,000 crore in Maharashtra over the next ten years, which includes setting up an automobile and tractor manufacturing facility in Nagpur. In addition, Mahindra will acquire land in the Igatpuri-Nashik region to expand current product and engine capacities, as well as to support the growth of its Advanced Technology business, the statement said. The Nagpur facility, which will be the group's largest integrated manufacturing facility for automobiles and tractors, will start production in 2028, the group said in a statement. "With these initiatives, Mahindra is committing a comprehensive investment of Rs 15,000 crore over a ten-year period in Maharashtra and will acquire over 2,000 acres across three locations to further strengthen its manufacturing footprint," it added. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) on Wednesday said it has secured an order to supply 35,000 units of its light commercial vehicle Scorpio Pik Up to Indonesian state-owned firm Agrinas Pangan Nusantara. The vehicles will be supplied in 2026 as part of a cooperative project in the South-east Asian country. These pick-up vehicles for the Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) project will play a crucial role in enhancing logistics for Koperasi (cooperatives) being set up across the country. It also said that the latest vehicle order surpasses the company's total export volumes achieved in FY25.
