Mahindra Group on Saturday named its seven-seater electric SUV as XEV 9S. Built on Mahindra's advanced purpose-built INGLO platform, the latest electric SUV from the home-grown automobile major is set for world premier at the 'Scream Electric' event in Bengaluru on November 27, which also will mark one year of Mahindra's all-electric journey and its growing INGLO portfolio, the company said. "Mahindra has officially unveiled the name of its next all-electric SUV-XEV 9S designed to bring together power, presence, and pure electric performance, the XEV 9S marks a new chapter in Mahindra's all-electric evolution," it said in a statement.
Realty firm Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd has reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 47.91 crore for the second quarter of this fiscal year. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 14.01 crore in the year-ago period. Total income rose to Rs 33.06 crore during July-September period of 2025-26 fiscal from Rs 15.96 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding year, according to a regulatory filing on Friday. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd on Saturday reported a 26 per cent growth in its overall auto sales at 1,20,142 units in October this year. Domestic passenger vehicle sales grew by 31 per cent to 71,624 units in October as compared to 54,504 units in the same month last year, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) said in a regulatory filing. Commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 31,741 units, registering a growth of 14 per cent, it added. "In October, we achieved SUV sales of 71,624 units, a growth of 31 per cent, which is the highest SUV sales we have clocked ever in a month," M&M CEO, Automotive Division, Nalinikanth Gollagunta said. On the farm equipment business front, M&M said total tractor sales in October were at 73,660 units, as against 65,453 units for the same period last year, up 13 per cent. Airbus has awarded a contract to Mahindra Aerostructures to manufacture the main fuselage of the H125 helicopters as the aerospace major boosts its Make In India efforts. The latest development comes less than five months after the company awarded the contract to Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt Ltd (MASPL) for manufacturing the main fuselage for H130 helicopters in April. "The production contracts for the H125 and H130 aerostructures to MASPL firmly integrate India into Airbus Helicopters' global value chain, strengthening the country's 'Make in India' initiative," Airbus said in a release on Thursday. Mahindra & Mahindra is scouting for a land parcel to set up a greenfield manufacturing plant to ramp up production to cater to the domestic and export markets, according to a senior company executive. The Mumbai-based auto major has unveiled its all-new modular, multi-energy NU IQ platform that will support a new range of SUVs, with the first product roll-out expected in 2027. Mahindra & Mahindra on Friday posted a 26 per cent year-on-year increase in total sales at 83,691 units in July, as compared to 66,444 units in the same month last year. In the utility vehicles segment, the Mumbai-based automaker sold 49,871 units in the domestic market, a growth of 20 per cent, as compared to 41,623 units in July last year. Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday reported a 14 per cent year-on-year increase in its overall auto sales to 78,969 units in June. In the passenger vehicles segment, the company said its utility vehicles sales surged 18 per cent to 47,306 units in the domestic market last month against 40,022 units in the year-ago period, up 18 per cent. Domestic three-wheeler sales stood at 8,454 units, an increase of 37 per cent as compared with 6,180 units in June last year, M&M said in a statement.
