No LPG shortage, don't panic or crowd agencies: Delhi CM Rekha Gupta

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Saturday that there is no shortage of domestic or commercial LPG in the national capital and urged Delhiites "not to panic". She exhorted people not to crowd gas agencies and LPG centres. "Avoid visiting LPG godowns. The administration is making efforts to ensure an uninterrupted LPG supply to people. Delhi govt to fund ₹1,03,700 crore budget via revenue, RBI market borrowing

The Delhi government will finance its highest-ever budget, tabled by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday, through its own revenue pegged at Rs 74,000 crore and Rs 16,700 crore market borrowing through the RBI. The Budget Estimates in 2026-27 of Rs 1,03,700 crore is Rs 3,700 crore higher than the Rs 1,00,000 crore BE in 2025-26, an increase of 3.7 per cent. It will be the first time that the Delhi government will source budget funds through market borrowing. In January this year, the Delhi government signed an MoU with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), under which the central bank serves as the banker, debt manager and financial agent of the government. Delhi Assembly receives bomb threat ahead of presentation of budget

Hours before Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's scheduled budget presentation at 11:30 am on Tuesday, the Delhi Legislative Assembly received a bomb threat, official sources said. The threat was received via an email to the assembly at 7:28 am, followed by another email sent to Speaker Vijender Gupta at 7:49 am. Soon after the bomb threat, security forces rushed to the spot and began carrying out checks and launched an investigation. "We have heightened security arrangements in and around the premises," a police source said. Delhi CM tables eco survey, per capita income likely at ₹5.31 lakh in FY26

Delhi's per capita income at current prices is likely to reach Rs 5,31,610 as per Advance Estimate, registering a growth of 7.92 per cent over 2024-25, according to the economic survey of 2025-26 tabled in the Delhi Assembly by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday. The report further states that Delhi's per capita income is estimated to be about 2.5 times higher than the national level during 2025-26. As per the report, the budgeted revenue surplus for 2025-26 (BE) is Rs 9,661.31 crore, which is 0.73 per cent of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP). The GSDP of Delhi at current prices during 2025-26 is likely to attain a level of Rs 13,27,055 crore as per advance estimate, registering a growth of 9.42 per cent over FY25. Delhi govt likely to notify Transgender Welfare Rules in 15 days

The Delhi government is likely to notify rules for the inclusion of transgender persons under the SMILE scheme, Garima Greh shelter homes and Ayushman Bharat TG Plus health coverage within the next 15 days. An official said that the rules will provide legal recognition, access to livelihood support, healthcare, education, rehabilitation and protection against discrimination for transgender persons. These rules will be in line with the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 and constitutional guarantees of equality and dignity, he said.
