Financially ailing Central public sector enterprise (CPSE), Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), in Jharkhand, which had been on the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) for several years, has been able to revive with the intervention of the Jharkhand High Court.
The company has recently executed its first export order to Bangladesh by dispatching first shipment of export order for supply of equipment and machinery manufactured in one of its plants, Heavy Machine Tools Plant (HMTP) for modernisation of Saidpur Railway Workshop of Bangladesh schedule.
According to HEC spokesman the company acquired its first prestigious export order from Bangladesh in a stiff competition from Germany and China. The company has executed the order ahead of the delivery schedule of the contract.
