RJio alliance with 8 global telcos
The bunch aims to reach out to a potential customer base of around 1 bn in more than 80 countries

Mukesh Ambani's group firm Reliance Jio Infocomm is partnering eight global telecom entities in what is described as an alliance to bring better products and services to customers everywhere.
The eight others are MTS, BT, Deutsche Telekom, Millicom, Orange, Rogers, TeliaSonera and TIM.

“Jio is set to enable each Indian to live a digital life...we have built the globally largest 4G (fourth-generation technology service) and fibre network, as well as a suite of digital services enabling entertainment, cloud, payment and much more. We invite the best partners to work with us to co-create a Digital India,” stated Rainer Deutschmann, chief product & innovation officer at Jio.
The alliance is a network of ‘like-minded’ operators with complementary geographical footprints. They are to exchange ‘best practices’ on approaching the market, do partner scouting and exchange knowledge about coming trends and services. It would cover all relevant product categories within an operator's business, mobile and fixed.
The alliance has established relationships with 30 partner businesses, it was stated, including AirBnB, Celltick, Disconnect, Idoomoo, and Mojio, and will soon be expanding to additional operators.
