India on Tuesday conducted 550,426 coronavirus tests to take the total count of tests conducted so far in the country to 193,613,120. The test positivity rate recorded was 2.3%

India on Wednesday reported a net reduction of 768 to take its count of active coronavirus cases to 176498, the lowest since June 22 and 82.65 per cent lower than the September 18 peak of 1,017,754. India’s share of global active coronavirus cases has declined to 0.68 per cent (one in 147). The country is 13^th among the most affected countries by active cases. India added 12,689 cases to take its total caseload to 10,689,527. And, with 137 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 153,724, or 1.44 per cent of total confirmed infections.
