Mumbai airport, which is the second busiest in the country, has won international recognition for route development.

Mumbai airport has two intersecting runways and has few vacant slots resulting in slower traffic growth compared to other airports in the country. However the airport has been able to attract new airlines and develop new non stop connections and this was recognised at the Routes Asia Marketing Awards in Japan.

Mumbai International Airport Limited in a release today said that it has been adjudged as the “highly commended airport for airport marketing” in Asia Pacific region at the award event. The award was presented
