Telugu Desam Party will join the NDA govt

The party wins over 100 assembly seats in Andhra

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will join the NDA government. The party president, N Chandrababu Naidu, stated this at a press conference here on Friday.

TDP, which had an electoral alliance with BJP, had won 15 out of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Seemandhra in 2014 elections. It is also leading in one of the parliamentary constituencies in Telangana.

Winning over 100 seats Assembly seats, the party is also set to form government in residual Andhra Pradesh which has a total of 175 Assembly constituencies.
